After a brief, intensely-fought battle with cancer, Steven W. Graber, founding partner of Graber & Johnson Law Group, LLC, went to be with Jesus on February 9th, 2017.

Steve was a 1975 graduate of Washburn University School of Law. After graduating, Steve served in the Navy Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps for six years, during which time he served in trial counsel, judiciary, and administrative law capacities. He received an accelerated promotion and advancement to the line.

From 1981-1989, Steve practiced law privately in Williamsburg, Virginia. His practice included being a participating attorney with the Rutherford Institute. In 1989, he returned to Kansas where he continued to serve the Rutherford Institute as a national staff attorney.

In 2003, he moved from Hutchinson to Manhattan, Kansas, and in 2014 merged his practice with longtime friend and colleague Darrel Johnson to form Graber & Johnson Law Group, LLC.

As an estate planner, Steve understood the long view and how the work he did today would impact lives for many years. His vision for Graber & Johnson Law Group, LLC was to establish a firm that could provide a consistent, competent level of care for clients and do so for generations to come.

Steve’s life was one of great faith and authentic care for people. His gentle wisdom was appreciated by all that crossed his path, whether through his legal career, travels worldwide for ministry, volunteer endeavors with charitable organizations or the multitude of students, friends and family with whom he shared his life.
